It's been a while since I did a blog post so I'll fill everyone in on what to expect over the next few weeks/months.
Originally the plan was to rebuild lower Black Bear Park earlier this week but due to the rain that never ended up happening. As of right now we're going to let the piles stack up over the weekend so expect a rebuild either Monday or Tuesday night.
Teddy Bear Park should be up and running again for tomorrow.
February 5th, LowRiders board shop is having their customer appreciation day here at BC and this is one that you don't want to miss. They're bringing one of their Banshee Bungies up to demo on one of our rails followed by a few games of SNOW. Still sorting out some of those details so keep checking on the site and facebook.
Last but not least, I'd like to ask everyone to do a Google search for me.
Google: Tough Mudder
That is all.
Thanks,K,Bye

I hope everyone's summer went well. I know mine did. We have a ton of new things going on at Bear Creek these days. A few days ago I posted pictures of BCIW's new rails and so far the response on all the new features has been positive so I guess that's a good sign of things to come. Pre-Season prep work is continuing as well as planning the for movie premiers on Oct. 23rd so keep an eye on the site and the new BCironworks facebook page for more info on what to expect for the 09-10 season.

Hey Everyone,
Myself and everyone here at BC Ironworks would like to thank you for a great season. Stay posted to BCIRONWORKS.COM for any updates and information on possible events and the 09/10 season.
That being said it has been a great season and once we close we will be doing some remodeling to the base lodge and we won’t be able have a hike park. We will definitely try and do an early season park again next year and have a great summer.
Thanks again, Andy

Hey Shredders,
I just wanted to remind everyone of two events coming up in the very near future. The first event to mark off on your calendar is February 20th 2009. This will be the 4th and final event of the EMS Jam at the Creek Series. It’s been a great series so don’t miss out on the final event! The second event is actually our very own BC Ironwork Invitational. The Event starts February 27th 2009 with a Rail Jam. Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th will be the Slope Style. The Qualifiers will be Saturday and the Finals will be Sunday. This is shaping up to be a great event and a fun time for everyone… not just the competitors. Other then our schedule over the next two weeks being jam packed full of goodies the parks are great so make sure to get out a throw down! Hope to see everyone on the slopes soon! Andy

Hey Shredders,
It looks like we have received a nice little break from frigid temperatures for at least a few days and the only way to describe the climate here at Bear Creek is “Spring-Like” It has been beautiful the past few days and it looks to continue for a few more. If you haven’t gotten to enjoy this February heat wave make sure to get out here and enjoy it. The parks are so nice right now with a touch of soft snow. Cascades new jump line is prime and has been a favorite among all the riders. Make sure to check them out. Break out your t-shirts and sun screen it is a great time to shred! Hope to see everyone out there very soon! Andy

Hey Shredders,
WOW… This winter has really been shaping up to be a frigid one! With frigid temperatures and natural snow falls it has helped us make the conditions and terrain parks better then ever! There are a few events coming up in the near future that I’d like to remind you about! Don’t forget about the 3rd edition of the EMS Jam at the Creek Rail Jam Series! This will be held Friday the 6th at 7PM in the base area! Registration is free so why not give it a shot!!! The set up for this event will be as follows;
· Double Wide Rail combo to Double Wide Rail in a A-Frame setup
· Box to Box Combo in a A-Frame setup
· Bleacher Box
I also wanted to remind everyone that the “Ironworks Invitational” presented by BC Ironworks is just around the corner! For more information please check the events page of BCIRONWORKS.COM. We hope everyone is having a great winter and can’t wait to see everyone on the slopes!!! Andy

Hey Everyone,
Cold enough for ya lately? It's certainly cold enough to have great conditions here at Bear Creek. Once again there is a lot of things coming up in the near future that will be a lot of fun! First and foremost Round 2 of the EMS Jam at the Creek series is Friday January 23rd! This will be a fun time. The setup will be a Urban down 25ft Handrail and a 3 lip 35 ft Flat Down Box. Be there! USASA will also be making a stop January 31st and February 1st! This will include a Boarder-cross and Slope-style event!
There is one last thing that i would really like to quickly touch base on before i close out this Blog. I'm pretty sure most everyone takes the time to read the entrance signs at the top of the parks and also understand and execute proper park etiquette but there are also people who don't. This makes every ones experience in the parks very dangerous. If you don't have a firm understanding of the SMARTSTYLE system, PLEASE visit WWW.FREESTYLETERRAIN.COM.

Howdy Shredders,
I have some rather exciting news!!! We will be rebuilding Cascade on Wednesday during the day and through the night. This fresh build is shaping up to be one great park and we are hoping for as much snow as possible for the build! That all being said Cascade will be closed for all operational hours Wednesday, January 14th. Don’t worry we will still have two great parks open Wednesday- Black Bear Terrain Park featuring its new medium sized jump line and Teddy Bear Terrain Park which is a great place to start small or harness your skills before taking them to the larger parks! Conditions are great and Bear Creek is the place to be! Hope to see everyone out there soon.

Howdy,
As I start this blog I almost don’t know where to begin… There are a lot of exciting things coming up that are just running through my mind. First of all, tonight will be the first of 4 EMS Jam At The Creek Rail Jams! This is always a good time for everyone. The setup for tonight’s jam is the 35 ft Step Box and the UJF. Secondly, I’m very excited to have another new park tool at our finger tips- a brand new Pisten Bully 400 Park Package. This is an amazing machine!!! Last but not least we have a great snowmaking outlook and natural snowfall predicted over the weekend! With this added snow we are planning out a date in the near future to do another full day build on Cascade! This Season is really shaping into a great one and everyday brings a little more excitement for the next! Hope to see everyone out tonight for the EMS Jam… Andy

Hey Everyone,
Looks like were having a real on/off December here at B.C. Ironworks. That being said we are pushing hard to make everything amazing and fun. The past few days have been rather warm and once we get the opportunity to make snow and push major snow expect a fresh build top to bottom on Black Bear and the old half-pipe area. We have also started building Teddy Bear Family Park for all you eager shredders out there! Expect big things in the future, we can’t wait to go crazy building. Cascade has a very recent build but is by no means close to as built as we plan. Hope everyone is having a great holiday season and we can’t wait to see everyone on the slopes!!!

Howdy,
Look’s like this week will be a busy one!!! We are planning a day build Tuesday on Cascade so Black Bear will be the only park open. We will be removing rails from cascade to make the build easier starting after close Sunday. This plan is very weather reliant so if anything changes we will inform you as soon as we know. The new cascade setup will open regular time Wednesday so make sure to come out and shred on Christmas Eve!!! Happy Shredding and Holidays… Andy

We’re really looking forward to having the opportunity to make snow and keep building. Coming soon will be more building as well as more features being added. Stay tuned… Happy Holidays

Hey Everyone,
Well it seems we have made it through one of the worst rain storms imaginable for this time of year. The resort as a whole has lot a lot of snow but we still have great coverage and all of our rails are still setup. During the coming days we will be blowing snow any chances we get so please bring goggle’s and dress warm. Fresh snow may make in-runs slow for jumps but they’ll speed up as soon as non-snowmaking weather returns. Hope to see everyone out here soon… Andy
